Tool Chest

Inspired by a revival of hand tools, this Tool Chest was inspired by Christopher Schwarz’s writing on the subject. My design is very similar but with some subtle tweaks. The size is taken from versions described in old woodworking books. Cock beading to the plinth, a scotia and cock beading to the lock rail are small touches that lift the utilitarian design.

Made from White Pine with Oak runners and bases to the sliding tills. Finished in genuine Casein Paint and sealed with Linseed Oil.
